Chapter 26 - Extruder Setup

Dual Drive Extruder was designed to avoid creating mark on Plastic Wire and to get a perfect driving without any sliding
The goal is to adjust the pressure between the 2 Wire drives by setting the compression of the Polyurethane spring (in order to get a good drive of the plastic wire in the PFTE tube and Extruder).
Le but est d'ajuster la pression exercée entre les deux molettes d'entrainement par un reglage de la compression du ressort en Polyurethane

Run Repetier-Host, adjust temperature to the Material you use and click on Heat Extruder Button.
Lancez Repetier-Host, entrez la temperature de la buse et cliquez sur le bouton Heat Extruder et
PLA : 235°C
ABS : 235°C

When the HotEnd is at temperature

Screw  ¼ turn the 2 Pressure Adjusting Screws
Visser d'un quart de tour les Vis de pression
Check the Material wire is straigh and not bended

Place  the material in the PTFE tube

Place Material wire on top hole and engage it into hole and between the 2 drives.
Extrude 10mm of wire by clicking on button below.

If the material wire engage and does not slide, click again on button  If the material wire does not engage or slide, Adjust the Pressure Adjusting Screws in order to get a good wire without sliding. Always adjust both screws simultaneoustly.
Repeat the operation up to the material reach the Hot end (you can increase the speed up to 300mm/mn and the Extrude length to 20, the minimum length you will have to extrude is about 600mm)
When the small Wire begin to exit the nozzle, set the speed to 200mm/mn and set Extrude length to 10mm
Adjust the Pressure Adjusting Screws in order to get a good wire without sliding

Notes :
–     Double Check the 2 screws are at same screwing level, avoid that figure below

–     This extruder allows to extrude up to 350mm/mn with a nozzle of 0.50mm, you can adjust the pressure up to the stepper motor miss step then unscrew ¼ turn.
