ABSolute3 Preview.

We are proud to announce the new ABSolute3, a professional 3D printer dedicated to material R&D and 3D Printing R&D. The head heats up to 500°C and the chamber up to 220°C.

Design of the machine is close to be finished now...

Printing hi-technical materials such as PolyEtherImide, PEEK, PEKK, etc... requires a heated chamber at very high temperature generally between 160°C and 220°C.
Thanks to the great experience we have aquired during the development of ABSolute #1 and #2, we tried to take the problem at the base and completely rethink the design and the way of designing a 3D Printer with a chamber at 220°C.
The all-new ABSolute3 is one of the most advanced R&D machine on the market.
With its double APC technology chamber (patent pending) capable of heating up to 220°C, you can control and fine-tune the crystallization of your polymers not only during print but after print and also the cooling curve at the end of print.

PRINT HEAD:

500°C liquid-cooled print head (optional tilting dual head on demand).
P
rint head module is static and interchangeable in minutes.
Extruder is direct drive with dual drive system, you can extrude any kind of material.

APC TECHNOLOGY (Adaptive Print Chamber):

ABSolute3 has a double printing chamber
- Primary chamber working at maximum of 70°C authorizes the use of standard mechanical components.
- Secondary chamber (red in the picture) is in silicone material resistant to 270°C continuously.
Base of secondary chamber is static in XY directions and guided in Z direction by 4 linear guides and linear guides ball. The height of secondary chamber varies and automatically adapts to the level of the printing bed (APC : Adaptive Print Chamber)

XYZ PRINT BED:

The printing bed is mobile simultaneously in the 3 axes. Nothing except the bed, tip of nozzle and silicon bellow is in the 220°C area.
For a maximum of rigidity, the main mobile plate supporting the print bed is moved by 4 ball screws dia 20.00 mm
using 15mm hi-torque timing belts & two Nema 23 stepper motors.

AIR CUSHION TECHNOLOGY:

The hot air pulsed into the printing chamber by a professional HotAir heater (more than 300°C) pressurize the chamber and allows the lower zone to slide on printing bed by air cushion, eliminating the friction of base of chamber on the bed.

VENTILATION:

Ventilation is one of the key feature for successful print of technical material.
Two internal adjustable blowers inside the secondary chamber help to maintain the printed part at the needed temperature.
Blowers are 3D printed in stainless steel with ceramic bearings, motors of blowers are on top, outside of the 250°C area.

We know that product development or material development has a lot of incertitudes. Our modular design simplify maintenance and evolutions. Everything in the ABSolute3 is designed as modules and is easy to take off and maintain.

THREE ZONES:
Isolation principles by 3 zones of the ABSolute2  are kept : Technical zone, Hot zone, Electronic zone.

EASY TO REMOVE HEATED PRINT BED:
Removable print bed is thermally isolated from the moving mechanism.
A 400W heater allows to heat the bed up to 220°C in minutes (metal perforated bed).

SEVERAL MATERIAL FOR BED:
PolyEtherImide, PEEK, or Metal perforated bed can be used.
You can adapt or create your specific printing bed, we provide the CAD files of bed support on demand.

AUTOCALIBRATION:
Before each printing, autocalibration of the print bed guaranty perfect first layers at each print.

VIDEO CONTROL:
A 220°C heated chamber does not allow to open the door in order to check the prints. ABSolute3 includes a video camera positionned outside the chamber with a mirror. You can watch and supervise the prints from your PC, tablet, mobile phone...

OPEN TECHNOLOGY:
Everything in the ABSolute3 has been designed for a simplified maintenance, easy evolution and painless upgrades.

  • Firmware is based on a modified Repetier firmware, source code is provided.
  • Most of mechanical/electronics components are standard and are very easy to source.
  • CAD files of special components are provided to customers on request.
  • You have access to all parameters of the slicer: printing parameters, post-processor, you can add special treatment to GCode after generation (with python script, C/C++ Executable, etc...)
